Below
is a list of some commonly asked questions we receive here at ACE
IRM. If there is something you feel we may have not covered, please
contact us and someone in our office assist
you with your enquiry.
Do I have to include my speeding fines on my proposal form for
my Car Insurance?
Answer: Yes, every driver must disclose all speeding or traffic
fines incurred.
Can I pay my premium by the Month?
Answer: Yes you can. There are two alternatives. Your Account
Executive at ACE IRM will arrange for the paperwork through a Premium
Funding Company to pay by the month or you can deal direct with some
Insurance Companies yourself to arrange monthly instalments.
What does Third Party Property Damage Insurance Mean?
Answer: Third Party Property Damage Insurance only
covers damage that occurs to a third party's vehicle
or property in an accident. This third party property
damage insurance should be distinguished from the CTP
(Compulsory third Party) which is taken out through
your registration with QLD Transport as that covers
Personal injury only.
Please explain what fully comprehensive cover means?
Answer: Fully Comprehensive is loss or damage to
your own motor vehicle.
Will I get a cheaper premium if I have security alarms on my property?
Answer: Always advise your broker about any security upgrade
to your property. A cheaper premium may be obtained if the security
is upgraded.
How long will my insurance claim take?
Answer: As we are your Broker and deal with the Insurance Company
on your behalf, we do the best to ensure a timely claim process takes
place. To ensure your claim is processed as promptly as possible,
always ensure you have filled out the paperwork correctly and accurately.
Our Claims Officer keeps in regular contact with the Insurance Company
monitoring your claim from start to finish. At ACE IRM, our clients
are our first priority and we do all we can to ensure claims are
processed as timely as possible.
How do I know if your online credit payment facility is secure?
Answer: ACE IRM has employed an encryption technology known as
SSL security. Whilst you are viewing the 'Payment Methods' page you
might notice a little gold padlock similiar to this one in the bottom
right hand corner (status bar) of your browser. This lets you know
that you are in a secure mode and any data (names, address's, card
numbers) will be encrypted as it is sent from your computer to our
web server.
Just how secure is SSL encryption and is ACE IRM's as secure as possible?
Answer: SSL encryption comes in two varieties, 40Bit key length
and 128Bit key length. ACE - IRM supports both of these technologies.
It really depends on the version of browser you are using to view
the secure page, all recent browsers support the more secure 128Bit
security features. There are over a trillion combinations in 128Bit
security mode.
What if I want to make a change to my insurance cover? (include
another driver / moving house)
Always notify the office of any changes to your insurance. There
may be an extra premium involved, there may not. It is important
that we have the correct cover for your situation and the only way
we will know of any changes to your circumstances is through contact
from yourself. |
